The H. Gladys Swope Loan Program offers students assistance in the costs of education while attending college. It is sponsored by the Student Center Foundation.
Who can qualify for the H. Gladys Swope Loan?
Wisconsin residents who are also active students of Christian Scientist qualify while attending any public or private university or technical college located in the United States, provided that the student was a Wisconsin resident immediately prior to attending. Eligible applicants can apply for Swope Loans prior to, or at any time throughout, their studies. Proof of admission and/or attendance is required to receive or continue a loan.
How is Wisconsin residency determined?
Residency eligibility is generally based on the student or a parent living within the state for a minimum of the last 12 months. Some exceptions are available for military service or other situations. These exceptions are similar to those utilized in establishing residency tuition for University Wisconsin system students described on the UW residence page.
Can I apply as a graduate student?

How much funding can I receive?

Interest on loans starts to accrue six months after a student leaves school.
